Donna Marie Mckno..was born in1970 in a small village in England.Donna now resides and works at a farmhouse in Lancashire,England.Donna was educated at Rhyddings County High School,Oswaldtwistle,Lancashire to G.E.C.standard,but left school early due to family circumstances and is a self- taught artist/craftmaker/designer.Always having the desire to create something new.The technique of painting used was discovered by experimentation around six years ago.Each image is made up of thousands of tiny, individual dots of acrilic paint applied with a paint brush.It has been discribed in many ways but very extreme pointillisum seems to fit.Donna has exhibited works at The Muninciple Hall,Colne,Lancashire in 2005 and at Howorth Art Gallery,Accrington Lancashire in 2006/2009.Has also taken part in various craft fairs/shows including two weekends at Oswaldtwistle Mills in Lancashire, two weekends at the Festival Arts Shop in Hebden Bridge,North Yorkshire and was an exibitor at the Spring Fair at the N.E.C Birmingham in 2009.Donna has participated in workshops and taught school children the painting technique.
Donna is married to Charlie and has four children,three dogs,two gerbils,one goldfish and twelve hens! (free range of course!)...The painting technique used is very unique.The paintings are very tacktile and three dimentional due to each spot of paint being manipulated with the paintbrush to create a peak.
